Pop singer, Rihanna, had noticeably been missing from the 2016 Grammy's where she had been slated to perform after being forced to cancel her performance after struggling with Bronchitis for the last few days.
TMZ reports
that the highly anticipated Grammy performance had been cancelled after
Rihanna had come down with bronchitis a couple of days to the event.
A rep for the 27-yr-old singer reportedly revealed to TMZ that the singer had tried using antibiotics for the last 3 days as a treatment course, all to no avail.
The rep added, saying:
"Rihanna
was then examined by a doctor at her rehearsal Monday, who decided to
put her on vocal rest for 48 hours because the singer was at risk of
damaging her vocal cords. The singer arrived at the Staples Center but
did not walk the red carpet. She went to rehearsals and left."
Other Sources revealed that Riri had been struggling with the illness for a while and is still on medication.
An on site doctor had
reportedly suggested that she cancel the performance which could
potentially damage her vocals, permanently.
TMZ reports
that Rihanna who had wanted to go on with the performance, had
reluctantly obeyed her doctors, leaving The Staples Center and heading
back home.
