Tunisia head coach, Hatem Missaoui, says his side
has mapped out a special strategy for today’s all-important Group C
clash against the Super Eagles in the on going CHAN soccer tournament.
The Carthage Eagles drew their first game against Guinea
on Monday and are seeking for a first victory at the tournament
. “We
have our tactics on how to stop the Super Eagles from scoring goals,”
Missaoui said last night. He said all his players are back from sickness
and injuries that ravaged the team before their opener and vowed to
cage the Nigerians who won their opener 4-1 against Niger.
Missaoui who rated Eagles hat –trick hero in the game
against Niger ,Chisom Chikatara very high stressed that he would be
banking on Ahmed Akaichi who scored a brace against Guinea to go on
another goal scoring spree. “Nigeria have a good striker in [Chisom]
Chikatara but we also have our own top scorer, Ahmed Akaichi, who scored
the two goals against Guinea. He can get goals against the Super Eagles
too.”
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s biggest corporate supporter of
football, Globacom, has tasked the Super Eagles’ not to spare any effort
at clinching victory when the team meets its Tunisian
counterpart today.
“Beating Tunisia and sealing the quarter finals ticket is
possible given the quality of the players in the Eagles camp,” Globacom
said in a statement in Lagos yesterday. “We also believe in the
capacity of Coach Sunday Oliseh to fashion out a winning formula,
especially after the confidence-boosting victory against Niger,” the
statement added.
Globacom, therefore advised the team to avoid
complacency, even as it urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and
Nigerians in general to continue to give their maximum support to the
team in their quest to bring the CHAN trophy to Nigeria for the first
time.
