Enyimba International have announced the appointment
of coach Paul Aigbogun as its new tecnhnocal adviser following the
departure of Kadiri Ikhana.
Ikhana left the Aba based club after leading them to the Nigerian Premier League title in 2015 while Aigbogun led Warri Wolves to second place.
Enyimba
released an official statement of its website to announce the appointment.
“Enyimba Football Club can confirm that Coach Paul Aigbogun has been appointed as the new Technical Adviser of the club.
“The management, players and staff are pleased to have Paul back as head coach because he not only has top-level experience, he is equally familiar with our club and share our passion and ideals.”
“In his previous spell as assistant coach in 2013 when we won our third Federation Cup, he stood out as a thorough professional, one that is as driven as we are for glory and success.
“We are very confident he can guide the team to great heights and will give him all the support he needs to succeed.
“His appointment takes effect immediately,” Enyimba’s statement read.
Aigbogun led Warri Wolves to second place on the Nigeria Premier League table last season. The London-trained coach is seen as one of the best in the league.
