The Slovakian midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs this summer, including Arsenal and Bayern Munich, after his father demanded that Napoli improve the terms of his deal.
But the two parties have now reached an agreement to extend Hamsik's stay in the south of Italy for the forseeable future.
Hamsik joined Napoli from Brescia in 2007 and has gone on to make more than 400 appearances for the club, which puts him third on their all-time list.
He was named in the Serie A team of the year for 2010-11 and has twice recorded the most assists in the Italian top flight.
The 29-year-old starred for Slovakia at Euro 2016, scoring one goal and setting up the other in their only victory of the tournament against Russia.
