
The pictorial exhibition tagged: “Our Hero Past: General Murtala Ramat Muhammed” had photographs showing the late general’s childhood, early education, family, military career and assassination on February 13, 1976.
Speaking at the event, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, who was represented by the director general of Centre for Black African Civilisation (CBAAC) said the late general lived a worthy, patriotic and heroic life worthy of emulation by the present generation of military and political leaders.

He also said the commission is using the exhibition to raise awareness of the era of the late General Murtala Muhammed.

During the event, Mr Taiwo Olaleye from the Nigerian Postal Service (NPS) made a presentation of collection of stamps to the family of the late Gen Muhammed and the museum commission.
