Actress, Temitope Solaja aka Aruga is one of the up-and-coming actresses to watch out for in 2016. Aruga as she is popularly known has starred in movies like Yeye Oge, Bella, Bamitale and lots  more. In this interview with Entertainer, ever gorgeous Aruga opens up on the journey so far.
Excerpts:

Who is Temitope Solaja?
Temitope is a young and vibrant lady who hails from Ogun State. I am a graduate of Tai Solarin University. I studied Mass Communication and I’m the first born of my parents. I love swimming and listening to music.
When did you venture into acting?
I started acting in 2007. I have featured in numerous movies including Opolo, Aruga, Aromimawe, Adajo Aiye, Bella, Orente, Irawe, Bamitale, Overdose and Yeye Oge.
What movie brought you to the limelight?
I would say Opolo; it was ‎my first lead role. That film brought me to the limelight but then I was much younger. In recent times, Bella, a movie produced by Tayo Sobola has also given me a lot of mileage.
Last year you produced two movies, Aruga and Orente. How were you able to fund the movies?
Well, I was able to produce the movies by the special grace of God though it wasn’t easy at all. However, I give all the glory to God for making it possible.
What was the inspiration behind Orente?
What inspired Orente was my desire to let my fans see me in another light because people never believed I could play that kind of role due to my tender looks. Most people think the only role I’m good at interpreting is a rich man’s daughter or a proud and aggressive brat. That was the main reason I shot Orente.
What was your parent’s reaction when you started acting?
My parents were not in support of my acting career initially. They wanted me to face my primary assignment which was my education back then because I was in 100 Level so I always sneaked out of school to locations but now they are happy with the woman I’m becoming.
Are you considering marriage pretty soon?
Well, anytime God wants it is cool by me; you know, God’s time is the best.
What should your fans watch out for in 2016, and a words of advice for them?
I’m planning to work harder than I did in 2015. God willing, lots of movies I featured in are coming out. Also, the two movies I produced are also coming out. And to my fans, all I want ‎to say is that I really appreciate your love; without you guys there wouldn’t be Temitope Solaja and I pray that Almighty God will continue to be with you and bless you all.
