The Democratic Republic of Congo started
their campaign at the ongoing 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN)
in Rwanda with a 3 – 0 whitewash of Ethiopia.
All four teams in Group B began their quest at the competition which started yesterday January 16.
Lusadisu headed home Luvumbu’s cross to put his side ahead in the 44th minute, setting-up a tantalising second half as DR Congo went into the break with a 1 – 0 lead.
The Leopards
returned from the dressing room firing from all cylinders and Luvumbu made no mistake just two minutes into the second half with another classic header.
Luvumbu was also involved in the third goal as he set up Meschack for an easy tap-in ten minutes later. It ended, DR Congo 3 – 0 Ethiopia.
It would be recalled that The Wasps of Rwanda started their campaign at the 2016 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) on a bright note as they managed a 1 – 0 victory over the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.
