Arsenal have unveiled their latest signing, Mohamed Elneny whom they got for £5million from Basel.
The
23-year-old completed his medicals last week and Arsenal have finally
unveiled him after getting his international clearance.
“The transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes. Everyone at Arsenal would like to welcome Mohamed to the club,” a statement on Arsenal website read.
The midfielder is seen in a series of photos holding the Arsenal jersey.
Arsenal are looking to finalise his registration so he could be eligible to feature in Arsenal trip to Stoke City on Sunday, January 17.
Elneny has over 100 appearances for Basel while winning three consecutive Swiss Super League titles.
The 23-year-old would be eligible to feature in Arsenal's Champions League campaign this season and would be a replacement for Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta who are expected to leave at the end of the season.
