Agali warns Nigeria

Former Super Eagles international Victor Agali has warned the national team to ensure they make no mistakes in their crucial 2017 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against the Pharaohs of Egypt.

According to the 37-year-old, the national team must correct the mistakes of not qualifying for the last nations’ cup this time around.
“They should avoid the mistakes they did last time, not qualifying. If they could correct it, it would be fine,” he said.

Meanwhile, as Nigeria continue struggle to put up a strong team and after the recent woeful performance at the African Nations Championship in Rwanda, Pharoahs coach Hector Cuper has revealed Egypt are battle ready for the double cracker against Nigeria in March.
“We called 32 players for the Aswan camp. Some proved themselves while others were below the level. We will call a fewer number of players in the coming camp ahead of the Nigeria match.
“I’d like to thank the football associations of both Jordan and Libya for accepting to face us outside FIFA dates.

“I have already settled on the lineup that will appear against Nigeria,” the former Valencia and Inter Milan boss concluded.
The Egyptians come into the game against Nigeria as Group G leaders with maximum six points from wins over Tanzania and Chad. Nigeria are second on four points.
It would be recalled that in 2015, Nigeria failed to defend their title in Equatorial Guinea after failing to qualify from Group A as they were held 2 – 2 by South Africa in Uyo, meaning they finished outside of their group’s top two automatic qualification spots with eight points – a total that also put them out of the running to be the best third-placed team.
